The plugin features an intentional, non-disruptive design built on modern software architecture:
In the fast-paced world of 3D modeling, efficiency isn't just a luxury—it’s a necessity. For SketchUp users, managing views within complex, large-scale models has historically been a bottleneck. Enter the , an innovative extension that is rapidly changing how professionals orbit, pan, and zoom through their projects. If you haven't updated your toolkit recently, this new iteration of Curic’s classic utility is about to become your most-used plugin. : Quickly create 3D section boxes around any
Before diving into the "New" features, let's establish a baseline. The original Curic Box View was a niche but beloved extension that allowed users to manipulate a 3D “bounding box” around their model. Instead of rotating the entire camera around the scene, you rotated the box. It provided an intuitive, almost tactile way to navigate orthographic and perspective views.
Click once to define the first corner of your rectangle. Move your mouse to define the opposite corner. Click again. Finally, drag your mouse upwards (or downwards) to define the height (Z-axis). Click a third time to complete the box. You can double-click the box to enter "edit
Toggling between Perspective and Parallel Projection is buried in the Camera menu by default. Curic Box View New adds a permanent button on the bounding box interface. Additionally, it remembers which projection mode you prefer for each face of the box (e.g., Parallel for Top view, Perspective for Isometric views).
