If you require an unsoftened garden tap or drinking water faucet, install a tee-junction on the main line before it reaches the bypass manifold.
After connecting, open your inlet valve slowly and flush the system through a kitchen tap for a few minutes to clear any air.
Connect one braided hose from the Inlet (incoming hard water) side of your plumbing bypass to the Inlet port on the back of the Harvey HV3.
Ensure the bypass valve is fully open to the softener and not stuck in the bypass position.
Install the three-valve bypass assembly according to the diagram provided below.
It must be within a reasonable distance of a waste pipe or washing machine drain.
